Nasheela

Stage and TV artist Nasheela passed away in Lahore on June 23, 2013. He played one of the most memorable characters of the famous 1993 PTV children series Ainak Wala Jin and stage shows like Shartia Mithay, Basheera in Trouble etc.

Nasheela had been associated with the commercial theatre at Alhamra Art Center, Lahore for over 40 years and also performed at private commercial theatres. He also did some films.

Nasheela was one of the leading artistes when it came to one-man show. He did parodies of singers like Shaukat Ali, Tufail Niazi and Alam Lohar.

Nasheela's real name was Shoukat Ali. He was a chronic patient of diabetes, blood pressure and kidney. He is survived by three sons, two daughters and a widow.
