Rangeela was a legend and symbol of comedy in Pakistani films. He was first ever comedian hero, he was a singer, he was a successful film director, writer, producer and distributor. He also composed music in a film..!

Rangeela (real name Mohammad Saeed) was a Pakhton origin Lahore based Painter and started his film career from film Jatti (1958). He struggled many years and got breakthrough from film Hath Jori (1964).

In 1969 he stunned every one with his magnificent performance as producer, director and singer in film Dia aur Toofan.

His first film as hero was Rangeela (1970) and appeared in many movies has hero. Dil aur Dunya (1971), 2 Rangeelay, Meri Zindagi Hay Naghma (1972), Parday Mein Rehnay Do, Rangeela aur Munawar Zarif (1973) etc. were some of his big movies. He had a setback from film Kubra Ashiq (1973) and was ignored from the mid 70s, but he came back as an ordinary comedian and film director.

He was also a useful part-time singer and his first song was in Punjabi film Banki Nar (1966).

Rangeela appeared in more than 550 movies and died on May 24, 2005 in Lahore.
