The Urdu film Shahida (1949) was directed by Luqman.

According to the director of this film Luqman, it was first produced film in Pakistan, and the dialog on Shamim Allah meri izzat teray Haath mein hay.. was first ever recorded dialog for any Pakistani film, which was written by Hakeem Ahmad Shujaa (father of Anwar Kemal Pasha, famous film director). This film was started as Shafaq and its director was Fazal Shah but due to some untold facts, Luqman took over and made this romantic film as Shahida, which celebrated silver jubilees in Delhi and Lucknew, but had an average business in Pakistan.

It was also the second and the last film of Nasir Khan in Pakistan, and first film of Shamim who later married Anwar Kemal Pasha and left film industry.

Old site mazhar.dk
