Maqbool Sabiri

Maqbool Ahmad Sabiri was younger brother of Ghulam Farid Sabiri and they were the first and the most popular Qawwal (spiritual singing) group in Pakistan. Their first recording was in 1958 and became a super hit Qawwali..

Maqbool Sabiri was born on October 12, 1945 in Kalyana, Indian Punjab and died on September 21, 2011 in South Africa. His pair with his elder brother Ghulam Farid Sabiri was broken in the 1990s and both brothers performed separately.
