Ustad Daaman was a famous Punjabi poet who penned songs in few movies..

was one of his most famous film song, sung by Madam Noorjahan in film Chann Way in 1951.

He was seen on silver screen in film Moajza (1966) with his patriotic poem..

He was a degree holder in profession of tailering from Germany. He was student of Ustad Hamdam in poetry and read a poem in a public gathering of Jawar Lal Nehru, who honored him with hundered rupee for his poem.

Ustad Daaman lost his wife and son in sectarian violence in 1947 and since he never married and lived in a small room under Texali Gate Lahore where he died on December 3, 1984 and was burried in Madhu Lal Hussain graveyard.
